No Problem!  For example: If we get a product file at 10pm on Monday, we can work around the clock.  You can have the 3D design CAD file in your e-mail by 6am Tuesday for approval, and can have the tools in the CNC machine by 8am.  As we are located just 10 minutes from the FedEx O'Hare hub, we can drop your tooling off by 10pm for Next Day AM Delivery (typical turn around is 24 HR). And for even faster delivery, let us form and trim your parts for you and ship them directly to your customer.

 

REN stock vs Aluminum vs 3D Printing....

 

Sure, we can cut cavity in RenShape but we actually prefer cutting 6061 aluminum.  Over the years with special tools and experience we've learned how to cut 6061 just as fast as RenShape or plaster!  REN stock or 3D printed cavities have limited capabilities with textured, cloudy parts.  Whereas aluminum metal tooling always produces better parts, with the ability to run high volume and match what will run in production going forward.

We thermoform and trim the way you will in production....

On our single shot 50 Ton Thermoformer, we can simulate the same conditions you will have in production on a large roll fed Thermoformer. Our machine has:

 

3rd Motion Plug Assist with 7” of travel

50 Ton press with platen locks to hold 150 PSI form air

Up to 150 PSI form air (40 gallon tank 4 feet from air box)

Vacuum all the way down to 30 INHG (40 gallon tank 4 feet from mold)

Can run vacuum on both sides for PS Foam products

30 Zone Infrared heating elements (both sides of the sheet), X,Y, Z adjustable

Trimming....

 

We implement numerous ways to trim your samples. With our locating technique, we guarantee perfect registration on your product. We can trim it with:

 

Steel rule die, (fastest, cheapest). Steel rule supplier 6 miles away.

Mill cut using 5 or 3 axis CNC using vacuum to hold parts

Our CNC machine with hot wire attachment (not all resins)

Match Metal die-punch, for multi level trim perimeter (need 2 extra days)

In mold steel rule die trimming

Hand trimmed following thermoformed trim line (few samples)

 

Venting, Perforations, Shrink Wrapping, Textures....

 

We offer many additional options for your thermoformed samples. We can cut sidewall vents, plain top vents, vents with perforations, regular hinges, perforation hinges, tamper evident features, swap-able embossed and de-bossed logos, textures, labels, anti-fog coatings, UV coatings, printed shrink wrap and many many more.
